The house is ours! And within 5 minutes of closing escrow, C was already carving up the floor and pulling fixtures off the walls. After the long hunt of seeing a lot of dumpy houses, we found Carver. Actually, C found Carver. Honestly, the first time he showed me the listing online I said "no, that looks scary." But then he went, scoped it out, took me there a day later and we both decided we had to have this house. And as much as we make fun of the ugly stair railing, carpeted stairs, parquet flooring (...and the list goes on), we still love Carver and know that we can erase all that - ahem - character. So, as we carve up this house and put our own distinct mark on every little piece, we'll update this space with before and after pictures and include a few details along the way.
