there's no turning back

It's been a while since we posted and even longer since we demoed walls. That all changed yesterday. The same day we decided to call the downstairs complete after hanging the last door that needed to be hung, we started tearing apart the upstairs full bathroom. You probably remember we had to do an emergency shower remodel a while back. Which means we don't have to touch the shower (thankfully). But the rest of the bathroom has been torn apart to make way for a new heavy duty fan, overhead LED lighting, new electrical outlets, radiant floor heating and we even moved the plumbing to the right a little bit.

We're spending the next few days tackling all that has to be done behind the walls. Then it will be time to sheetrock and put everything back together. What's on the list for putting this baby back together, you ask? Basalt tile floors. A new vanity with a Caesarstone counter top. Our favorite Kohler fixtures. Plus all the aforementioned stuff going on under the flooring and in the walls. Today, I am researching fun stuff like nice hooks to hang towels on and TP holders. While C is in the attic putting in the new fan system and lighting. I do feel guilty, but I'm on-call playing the role of sous-construction worker just waiting for demands from the attic.

This is what Carver looked like yesterday morning:
